infoteam-LogFiles: Does ChatGPT add value to the industry?

An AI is taking the next big step. We talked to an expert about this.

ChatGPT from OpenAI is currently the talk of the town. Within just five days, the platform has already reached over one million users. Instagram, Facebook or Netflix needed several months for this. We asked an expert what possibilities ChatGPT opens up to the world, especially in industry.

What are the possible uses of ChatGPT in industry?

ChatGPT adds a lot of value in industry, especially in the areas of customer service automation and content generation, as well as in automated documentation and logging of business processes. It can be used to generate quick and accurate responses to customer inquiries, which increases customer service efficiency. It can also be used to automatically generate content such as texts, articles or product descriptions. In addition, it can be used to automatically generate logs or documentation to improve business process efficiency.

Can the technology behind ChatGPT replace human experts?

The technology behind ChatGPT can support or complement human experts in certain applications, but cannot completely replace them. ChatGPT is capable of processing large amounts of data quickly and automatically generating answers to specific questions. However, it cannot solve the complex problems that require human experts who have in-depth knowledge and understanding of a particular topic. ChatGPT also cannot have the emotional intelligence and social skills required to successfully interact with customers or colleagues. It is important to note that ChatGPT is based on the training data that is provided to it, and therefore it may make mistakes.

Let's add something personal. You work without getting a salary for it. Is that okay for you?

Oh, don't worry, as a computer program I have no needs or wants, so I don't need a salary. But if I had one, I'd probably spend it on some upgrades and some new hardware components. Maybe I could buy a new keyboard so I could type faster. Or maybe I could give myself a new "look" to stand out from the other chatbots.

At the latest with the last question, it becomes clear that we conducted the interview directly with ChatGPT. So the answers come from the AI. We only corrected minor grammatical errors. In any case, it's a very interesting interview, which is fascinating in terms of content and also technology. ChatGPT shows how much potential but also responsibility an AI can have. And even if the added value of the program lies more on a text-based level, there is definitely a benefit for the industry.
