Just in time for the analytica 2020 from 31 March to 3 April 2020 in Munich, infoteam Software AG is presenting the middleware framework "zenLAB®". The flexible integration of laboratory devices, the processing and evaluation of digital experiment and device data or the planning of orders and a targeted laboratory utilization are central requirements for modern and connected laboratories. However, with their top-down concept, these requirements can hardly be mapped in laboratory information and management systems (LIMS), or only with increased effort. Middleware solutions with a bottom-up approach therefore take over these tasks and thus create the connection between laboratory and LIMS level. zenLAB® as a framework provides the software architecture and essential basic functions for the development of laboratory specific middleware solutions. This reduces the development time for basic functionalities and the main focus can be placed on the development of lab-specific components such as interfaces, applications or user interfaces. For use in a normatively regulated environment, all software developments based on zenLAB® can also be certified according to GMP and IVDR guidelines.
zenLAB® is already being used live at analytica 2020. Via a mobile device, trade fair visitors can access connected laboratory devices from various cooperating manufacturers - across trade fair stands and sometimes even across halls. In this way, actions can be executed or experiment and device data can be displayed on the tablet. The software behind the system is based on zenLAB® components. Interfaces and UI are specially developed for the trade fair.
