Bubenreuth/Berlin , 16th August 2018
In an interactive showcase at InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin, infoteam Software AG, the development specialist for standard-compliant software solutions, will demonstrate how it is part of forming the future of rail transport in a wide variety of areas. Trade visitors get informed in Hall 6.2, booth 303 how software solutions of infoteam already have a major impact on passenger comfort and train safety. "We are responding to the challenges of progressive networking and combine safety requirements in our certified safety process and security measures in accordance to ISO 27034 process. Because software for railway technology must offer maximum reliability and maximum safety without exception," says Christopher Schemm, Deputy Head of Business Segment Transportation & Energy.
More passenger comfort
Today's rail vehicles need much more than just reliable and functionally safe systems - comfort functions are increasingly coming to the fore. In the age of digitisation and networking, passengers increasingly expect complex and stable IoT services. Visitors to InnoTrans get a good overview of the applications infoteam realises for infotainment, driver- and passenger-information-systems, communication, ticketing-apps or on-board Wifi. A targeted approach to consumers on the train is also already realisable today. In this application case, travellers receive individual information that corresponds to their preferences and current needs, such as information about hotels, restaurants, current offers or leisure activities.
High availability
In addition to convenience functions and security systems, predictive analytics applications are increasingly becoming the focus of manufacturers and operators. The collection, evaluation and intelligent use of operating data offers so far hardly used potential for fleet management or predictive maintenance, for example. infoteam Software AG supports component manufacturers as well as train- and infrastructure-operators in realising higher availabilities on the basis of condition monitoring. Predictive analytics applications also make it possible to forecast passenger traffic as accurately as possible and to break down the expected route utilization. This way, operators can deploy personnel and trains more cost-effectively.
