Medium-sized company convinces in innovation competition and has passed scientific selection procedure

Bubenreuth, 25.01.2021

  • Innovative strength is part of the corporate culture
  • Individual software solutions for the markets Industry, Infrastructure, Life Science and Public Service

On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the TOP 100 innovation competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined infoteam's innovative strength. The researchers used around 120 test criteria from the following five categories as a basis: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. In essence, the question is whether innovations are a product of chance or the result of a planned approach and thus repeatable. And whether and how the corresponding solutions succeed on the market (more information on the test criteria at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien). Due to the current situation, there was a supplementary special section in this round in which the entrepreneurial reaction to the Corona crisis was examined.

Innovative strength is part of infoteam's DNA

infoteam is based in the software services industry. The company has made a name for itself above all with individual software solutions for the industry market and here especially for mechanical engineering as well as for the infrastructure, life science and public service markets. "The award of the TOP 100 seal is a great honour for us and at the same time confirmation of our self-image and our previous actions. Promoting the creativity of our employees is firmly anchored in our corporate culture and indispensable. This is the basis of our innovative strength, which is part of infoteam's DNA, so to speak. Especially during the pandemic, we proved that we react quickly and innovatively. For example, everyone in the team has the option of adjusting their working hours according to their personal circumstances. At the same time, we have digitalised our teamwork. Furthermore, I am very proud that we were able to quickly and easily implement the 'hybridisation' of internal and external events. In the end, we also scored points with our customers," explains Joachim Strobel, CEO of infoteam Software AG.

Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, the scientific director of TOP 100, is impressed by the award-winning medium-sized companies. "The TOP 100 companies have consistently oriented themselves towards being as innovative as possible," he notes.

On 26 November there will be another reason to celebrate: then all the award winners of the current TOP 100 year will come together to receive congratulations from Ranga Yogeshwar at the 7th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. The science journalist has been mentoring the innovation competition for ten years.
